APOSTLE LEE A. HENDERSON, SR.

Apostle Lee A. Henderson, Sr. is the Founder and Pastor of the Tabernacle of Praise Ministries. A native of Birmingham, AL, Apostle Henderson accepted his call to the ministry in 1980. His ministry began at the East Birmingham Church of God In Christ under the tutelage of Bishop Peter Wren, Sr. where he served faithfully until the Lord gave him the charge to depart. In 1995, God spoke to Apostle Henderson through the Holy Spirit saying, “I have anointed and appointed you for a special assignment in my Kingdom…” With that, God placed the purpose and vision in Dr. Henderson to build a place raise up a people that transcend the many differences that often hinder the progression of the church.

In January 2013, God made provision for Tabernacle of Praise to relocate to a larger facility in preparation for the harvest that was on its way.  God has blessed Tabernacle of Praise to become a training ground for Pastors, Ministers, and men and women who desire to walk in integrity, apt to teach and preach the Gospel in the “Spirit of Excellence.”In conjunction to serving as Senior Pastor of Tabernacle of Praise, Apostle Henderson currently serves as the Vice President of the Kingdom Fellowship of Covenant Pastors under the leadership of Dr. Willie B. O’Neal, Senior Pastor of the Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church.

 

Apsotle Henderson’s accomplishments reach beyond the walls of the church. In 2012 he received a Bachelor of Theology in Christian Counseling and in 2013 he received a Doctorate of Divinity in Divinity, each from Northwestern Theological Seminary.  He has been married to Lady Mona Henderson for thirty-six blissful years and he is the proud father of two children, Kendra Delaine and Lee Jr. and the grandfather of six (Lee III, Kenden, Solomon, Zameria, Riley, and Apollo). He is committed to winning souls for Christ by preaching the unadulterated Word of God. He is a man of integrity and strong convictions. He leads his flock by example, with special emphasis on excellence and character. He is truly a man after God’s own heart. He stands firmly on the Word of God and lives by his mantra and church motto “To God Be the Glory.”
